Take a moment to take care of yourself. A weekend to breathe, to go inside, reflect and release.

October 9–10, 2026

Friday | 18:00–21:00
Saturday | 09:30–21:00

Kongsgata 44, Stavanger

Some journeys cannot be rushed.

Some journeys ask us to pause, to listen, and to trust what is ready to unfold.

Whether you are moving through grief, burnout, anxiety, a major life transition, or simply feel called to understand yourself more deeply, Holotropic Breathwork® offers a unique opportunity to turn inward in a safe, compassionate, and carefully held environment.

Developed by Stanislav Grof and his late wife Christina Grof in the 1970s, and rooted in decades of pioneering consciousness research, Holotropic Breathwork has become one of the world's most established methods of self-exploration through expanded states of consciousness. Today, it continues to be practiced and carefully stewarded by an international community of certified facilitators and trainers.

Our weekend format is an essential part of the method. Deep inner work deserves time—time to arrive, to trust the process, to explore, and to gently integrate what emerges. Every part of the weekend, from preparation and the breathing sessions to mandala work, sharing, and integration, is designed to support a meaningful and transformative experience.

There is nothing you need to achieve and no expectation of what your journey should look like. Whether you come seeking healing during a difficult chapter in life or wish to deepen your understanding of yourself, you are invited to trust your own inner healing intelligence and allow your experience to unfold in its own way.

Whether this is your first Holotropic Breathwork experience or a return to the practice, we warmly welcome you.

Give yourself the gift of time. Space. Presence.

Some journeys cannot be rushed.

We look forward to sharing this one with you.

What is Holotropic Breathwork?

Holotropic Breathwork® is one of the world's most established methods of self-exploration through expanded states of consciousness. Developed by psychiatrist Stanislav Grof and his late wife Christina Grof in the 1970s, the method emerged from decades of pioneering research into the healing potential of non-ordinary states of consciousness and continues to be practiced around the world.

At the heart of Holotropic Breathwork lies a profound trust in the psyche's innate capacity for healing and transformation. Rather than directing or analysing your experience, the method creates the conditions for your own inner healing intelligence to guide the process, allowing each journey to unfold naturally and uniquely.

What makes Holotropic Breathwork distinctive is not simply the breathing itself, but the carefully developed framework that surrounds it. The relationship between breather and sitter, carefully curated music, skilled facilitation, focused bodywork when appropriate, creative expression through mandala work, and dedicated time for integration all form essential parts of the practice.

Over the past five decades, Holotropic Breathwork has been carried forward by an international community of practitioners through Grof Transpersonal Training (GTT). While remaining true to the principles established by Stanislav and Christina Grof, the practice has continued to mature through decades of collective experience, with ongoing refinement of facilitation, ethics, safety, and integration.

Certified Holotropic Breathwork facilitators complete a comprehensive training process that typically unfolds over several years. Alongside theoretical study, the training places a strong emphasis on personal experience, mentorship, supervised practice, and the development of the presence, discernment, and practical skills required to safely support others through profound inner experiences.

The emphasis on preparation, facilitation, and integration is why Holotropic Breathwork is offered as a full-day or weekend workshop rather than a single breathing session. The breathing experience is only one part of the process. Equal importance is given to creating a safe and supportive container in which meaningful inner work can unfold and become integrated into everyday life.

People come to Holotropic Breathwork for many different reasons. Some are navigating grief, loss, burnout, anxiety, major life transitions, or the effects of overwhelming life experiences. Others are seeking personal growth, greater creativity, spiritual exploration, deeper self-understanding, or a stronger sense of meaning and connection. Every journey is unique, and there is no expectation of what your experience should be. The process is guided not by the facilitator, but by your own inner healing intelligence.

No previous experience is necessary. Whatever brings you to this work, you will be welcomed into a compassionate, confidential, and carefully held space where your own inner wisdom can lead the way.
